The possibilities are boundless….”Let’s not tempt me to spend any money” Christopher and I both spoke in unison. Regardless, his choice was to head into San Antonio with time on our hands and amazing CANON digital equipment to accent his gifted and talented genes ……
thanks to Grandmother on my side and Daddy Bub!!!!
“What do you think, Mom?” Christopher asked. “Where should we go?”
We both settled on the newly renovated Pearl Brewery and he shot images that will surely be incredible, while all I could do was focus on the awesomeness of the incredible gene pool that created this beautiful son…
What Are We Going To Do Today?

Room With a View

Looking outside of Christopher’s apartment is a far cry from our view at home, but both are as beautiful as they are different. I probably would never have experienced the beauty of Chicago if our son had not decided to make it his home, but I LOVE it. I did not meet a single person on the streets, in a restaurant, shop or the apartment that was not totally nice……ummmmm, except for one night doorman, but I heard that he will be gone in a month. Something about needing a check-up from the neck up…….
The Awesome Aussie and the Persistent Pom
We owe the wonderful blessing of owning this awesome Australian Shepherd to our sister, Moye and I just found out a LOT about the Pomeranian breed in a great magazine that Moye gave us. It reads that the Pomeranian breed was originally bred as a sled dog and they weighed 30 pounds and up. Well, Okie our little 10 pound Pomeranian is not hindered by his bred down mini size. He knows when the alarm goes off in the form of a sharp, ear piercing bark that there is a sheep or goat in the yard. It is such a game for this one particular little pygmy goat…..she LOVES teasing them and they actually play together until Sky and Okie team up and decide that the game is over…..The goat has gotta go!!!!!!
Will Fly For Food
I forgot how wonderful our Canon 300 mm lens is, until I switched from the 70 to 210 zoom to take pictures of the Falcons that were showing off for us. They were the opening act before the fireworks display that we had later the night of the 4th of July. They knew that they would be rewarded with a treat left on the fence post…..
I see dead bugs
Hand feeding a snake is something we will probably not be doing anytime soon……yes, but if he was starving? Nobody goes hungry around this place. We have a chubby little family of sun spiders that we see on our way down the road. “Your fly is down” I laughed, as we tossed him a grasshopper. He zipped it up in no time. Their webs have an intricate zipper design that caught our attention when we first started looking at this place for a future home. We are not bonded to any black widow spiders and brown recluse, but try to avoid housework, so as not to disturb the cobwebs in the corners, in case we ruin a work of art. There is one web in the studio that says “Some Pig”.
Ski Texas !
Too sexy for the snow in Colorado, it is time to come back to Texas! Where else can you ski 365 days a year and still have the best brisket taco? Bearfire is set to open in the fall of 2009 in Ft.
