This is Tom and my sister Sue. I would have to bitch slap her for touching his face if she was not family. We adopted each other. She is the smartest, cutest, funniest person I have ever met. (Besides my original family)This is Sue with her three human children and husband. They have three doggie children that we love like our own…..There are many photos of those guys in past entries. Hopefully they will come to Aunt Dana’s house again soon, to be spoiled in the manner that they are used to when they are at home with Sue and Gene.
I am catching up on some posts…..Not sure why it has taken so long….must have lost my head. Anyway, here are a few photos from our Halloween/GMa Birthday Party in October 2012We never know who will make an appearance at this annual event! It can be really scary at times!!!Lucky for us, the Tincredibles are always super heroes! They quickly subdued the unsubs even before other invited quests arrived. Two body guards were needed for added safety during this high profile event. Some photos are still being examined for evidence of paranormal activity and will be added at a later date…..
It may not sound like fun to most people, but watching these little mud puppies splashing away is one of the highlights of my afternoon!Of course, they know that we are being entertained, so they ham it up even more.Luckily, a few shakes and rolls, and they are spanking clean again……not that we would ever spank them! This dirt was caused by a gopher. Our angels would never make such a mess!
We have had Shelties since we were first married. My first Christmas present was Omar, a male Shetland Sheepdog. We are baby sitting Rosie. She is a rescue dog, part Sheltie and she is going home next week-end……maybe, I might have to hide her somewhere!
With those big brown eyes…..the way your eyebrows go back and forth between Tom and I when you know we are talking about you….the way you hunch down and try to and sneak by when you just finish stealing the cat’s food. You could bite Spooky’s head off when she tries to ride you……
You learned not to chase the cows, you would die before you peed in the house. You did not make a peep when I accidentally shut you in the pantry……Sky, you are too much. I could go on and on, but I need to go fill up the kitty food bowl….again!
Not all ranch work is done outside the casa….and there is no rest for the weary! Sky, our fearless Australian Shepherd has a new job. I think that she has been alerted to potential danger because she has heard my blood curdling screams…..sometimes in the middle of the night. I love all creatures (just ask my Mom)….but there are some creepy crawlies that give me the creeps! Last night, Sky looked at me and was staring at something under the table. I am surprised that she did not put her paws over her ears when she saw me looking at the scorpion that she had spotted. Thank you, Sky for being such a great watch dog!
Running on the beach and splashing in the waves made Sky hungry. She would have had a whole sausage to herself, but a seagull came and snatched one off the grill. Sky has been known to snatch raw scallops off the kitchen counter….. Just Saying…..
I knew that a little stroll with five dogs on leashes would turn out to be a fiasco. Who wants to have their arms elongated for four miles. We have almost zero traffic on our private road. The two Pomeranians stay right by our side, as well as our Sheltie. They get tired pretty quick and Spooky the smallest wants us to carry her after about a mile. Sky and Flaca are the ones that usually can make it without too much drama. Not today….I could smell something cooking on a grill somewhere nearby and I was not the only one. Well, never one to miss a chance to crash a picnic..Sky took off to see if she could have a sample from our neighbors. We could not talk her out of running all the way to their house. She knew she was in trouble. As much trouble as she caused, it did not take long to be forgiven.
